About Jamillah Bowman Williams
Professor of Law at Georgetown University and expert in social and behavioral science. Specializing in employment law and workplace equity, I study how bias operates in organizations. I build on these insights to develop innovative legal and policy solutions to reduce systemic inequality. I am currently at Harvard Business School, as a Visiting Faculty Fellow at the newly launched Institute for Business in Global Society (or \"BiGS\"). My research has been featured in a range of scholarly journals and media outlets. Previously an employment lawyer at Paul Hastings, LLP in Chicago, IL, I have extensive experience advising employers on diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. I am also committed to advocating for greater workplace equity and dignity as Faculty Director of the Workers\' Rights Institute at Georgetown Law. In addition to my academic role, I frequently consult leaders in business, government, and education regarding their workplace practices.
