About Jamileth Gomez Alfaro

I am a first-generation student at the University of California, Santa Barbara, originally from Los Angeles, California. I am a third year Communications major with a minor in Education. Currently, I work as a front desk assistant with a tutoring program called CLAS. In this position, I am responsible for checking in students into their appointments, adding appointments, and assisting with tutoring service-related inquiries.In high school, I served as a College Ambassador and held the roles of News Editor and Social Media Manager, which helped me develop strong communication and organizational skills. I am bilingual, which enhances my ability to connect with a diverse range of people. My background has equipped me with excellent communication, customer service, and organizational abilities, which I bring to every role I undertake.

My focus is on fostering a welcoming, supportive environment where students feel empowered to succeed within their prerequisite Communication courses.
