The English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Programs place Fulbrighters in classrooms abroad to provide assistance to local English teachers. ETA’s teach English language while serving as cultural ambassadors for the U.S. The age and academic level of the students varies by country, ranging from kindergarten to university level. I taught and assisted in university level classrooms at the Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco from beginner level to advanced level classes. I also led weekly tutoring sessions. Additionally, I represented Fulbright Portugal at the Annual Fulbright Berlin Seminar for American Fulbright Grantees, as well as at the US-EU Young Leaders Enrichment Seminar on Migration, Brussels.
