About Jami K. Averwater

It was my five years at The Webb School of Bell Buckle that sparked a life of learning. I went on to earn a Bachelors of Economics at Middle Tennessee State University in the spring of 2016 with minors in both Political Science and Spanish, completing 130+ credit hours of course work during a three year period. During my time at MTSU, I served on both the University Discipline Committee and the University\'s Academic Misconduct Committee with hopes of protecting the integrity of the college degree. I served as the President of the MTSU College Republicans, leading the group to become the largest political organization on campus. In May of 2019, I earned a J.D. from Belmont University College of Law. My love of real estate merged with a knowledge of the law and brought me to the ever-changing real estate title industry. I launched Hywater Title in June of 2020 in the midst of a global pandemic. Our company has since grown to multiple offices spanning middle Tennessee. An appointment to the Murfreesboro Planning Commission in 2021 created a passion for smart growth in my community and led me to serve further as a City Councilwoman. Since elected to the Council, I have voted to increase wages for our first responders and public safety officials, improve safety in our public parks, and improve our roads to reduce traffic congestion. I still proudly manage the strategic growth of Hywater Title and maintain an active law practice.
