A dream gig managing commissions and acquisitions on the BBC Children’s slate for CBeebies, CBBC & iPlayer. Devising and briefing out content strategy once per quarter to senior management, commissioning execs and exec producers, ensuring new and returning series hit key strategy objectives, investment, broadcast and regional quotas. Ad-hoc projects involve analysing large amounts of viewing data to prove ROI, objectives hit or missed. I also get to prepare presentations, speeches and other projects for Senior Management speaking to performance and other objectives\' successes. It\'s incredibly satisfying working closely with teams including iPlayer, digital, business affairs, scheduling, slate, commercial partnerships on making best of BBC Children’s content on all platforms. Key Achievements• Leading BBC exec on annual briefing day event for independent producers to learn the BBC’s commissioning objectives, devising theme and content, running order, booking keynote speakers etc.• Brought \"play pattern thinking\" to commissioning process for CBeebies, using popular preschool pastimes to influence decisions on content needs• Reworked Review & Selection process to streamline submissions from execs during commissioning• Line managing the Children’s Delivery Unit: a team of 7 executives bringing content into BBC Children’s
