Jamiel Farrar is an accomplished technical & administrative leader in Facilities Management, Mission Critical Infrastructure Assessment, and Building Commissioning. He has traveled nationwide to simultaneously support engineering, construction, and operations & maintenance for Developers, Building Owners, Property/Facility Managers, and Architectural and Engineering firms. With over 20 years of progressive experience, he is a true problem solver with exceptional collaborative team building and customer service skills. Mr. Farrar has served as lead consultant and subject matter expert to stellar organizations such as Time/Life Inc, The U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Army Corp, Citicorp/Citigroup, Direct TV, Sports Illustrated and Verizon.Mr. Farrar has extensive project management and consulting experience in building investigations ranging from environmental ( air quality, mold, asbestos, legionella) to building condition assessments, sustainable operations, and risk management. Specifically, he has led technical investigations and operational assessments’ on over 60 million sq. ft. of healthcare facilities, including the world-renowned Johns Hopkins Health System. He has also overseen the design, construction and commissioning of over sq. ft. of historical building infrastructure and over sq. ft. of raised floor mission critical data center infrastructure. He has managed over 25 major capital projects valued at $100 million or more across the Education, Healthcare, and Government market sectors, and holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, along with several other trade licenses and certifications.
