About Jamie Kohn

The overarching question of my work is this: How can we create solutions that help organizations and their people thrive in a fast-changing talent landscape? I have spent the last 10 years solving problems related to talent acquisition, organizational behavior and corporate strategy. In my current role, I lead Gartner\'s strategy for supporting heads of talent acquisition on their most critical priorities. I identify emerging trends in organizations and the labor market, and I work with teams to develop best-practice solutions for recruiting executives.I\'ve always been interested in how people come together—in relationships, teams and organizations—to form something greater than the individuals are separately. Prior to my focus on HR and talent acquisition, this interest led me to a wide range of research topics. My previous work ranges from strategy execution and digital transformation to team leadership and decision making. I have also done interdisciplinary work on healthcare quality improvement, studying the effectiveness of programs to improve patient care and operational efficiency.

   Feb 2025 — Present

   Develop and deliver actionable insights on talent acquisition, with a focus on TA strategy and operations, future of the function, talent advisor development, and labor market shifts impacting talent strategy. Lead Gartner\'s Recruiting Leadership Board—a group of 30+ progressive heads of talent acquisition from global companies. Present research to senior executives and advise on implementation.
