About Jamie Koenings
As an environmental scientist and regulator, I bring over 18 years of experience in the field. I specialize in regulatory compliance, focusing on wastewater and stormwater-related permitting projects. For the past 12 years, I’ve focused my professional efforts as an industrial wastewater consultant, providing technical support on various environmental projects and delivering on client service expectations.Prior to my role as an industrial wastewater consultant, I worked at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) as an industrial wastewater permit writer, focusing on industrial wastewater and stormwater regulations. I also worked as a Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFO) permitting specialist and work leader. My areas of expertise include discharge permit applications, stormwater permitting and negotiating discharge permit terms. I’m familiar with the development of National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) applications for a variety of industrial facilities, including applications for petroleum refineries and chemical manufacturing facilities, power (nuclear, natural gas, and coal) facilities, and pulp and paper facilities. Preparation of multiple permit applications for renewal, amending and expanding facilities, as well as new facilities, is within my wheelhouse. Regarding stormwater permitting, I evaluate development projects or existing sites to assess permitting regulatory applicability to establish site specifications for stormwater runoff for various industrial facilities and then develop a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan for each site.
