ABOUT JAMIE HUMPHREYS

I am a products lawyer at Cooley with an advisory and contentious practice who is a strategic advisor to my clients at every stage of the product lifecycle. My practice includes- Working with tech companies, Fortune 500 companies and other global brands and support them as they navigate the unprecedented wave of products and consumer legislation that has been introduced globally over recent years. I provide practical and commercial advice tailored to my clients’ circumstances, so they have the tools to ensure compliance. I also support clients who are looking to engage on policy, helping them to understand the implications of draft regulations and informing their engagement- Acting on high profile litigation and contentious regulatory matters across a range of different sectors. I have represented clients in response to product safety investigations by national regulators, acted on major product liability claims, handled internal investigations into product safety and fraud issues, and advised on multiple international recalls. These matters are crises for my clients and pose a significant threat to their business or reputation and will require a multi-stakeholder team working closely together to secure the best possible result- Writing and speaking about Products law at ICPSHO, SPLiCE, MBL Seminars, and our Productwise blog and webinars.I’m grateful to have been recognized by UK Legal 500 and Lexology Index (formerly Who’s Who Legal) for Product Liability Defence.I’m a dad of 3 boys and I love running, reading, cooking and dabbling in carpentry.
