Non Executive Chair of this Leeds based University, with an annual turnover exceeding £75million,almost core & franchise students and 350+ staff. In this role I lead the Board in all of its functions, am responsible for compliance and regulatory matters, for managing and appraising the Vice Chancellor and the Executive team, as well as representing the University externally. I led the recent process to recruit a new Vice Chancellor and additional members of the Board. I have recently delivered a comprehensive Governance Effectiveness Review with a market leading external partner and I am in the process of developing a new strategic vision for the University, putting widening participation from within underrepresented communities as a core aim.
