I spent the first years of my working life as an architect\'s apprentice, tracing drainage plans until my wrist went numb and wondering if this was genuinely what adult life was going to be. It was useful, as it turned out. Not the drainage plans, specifically. The way of thinking.Architecture trains you to take something messy and contradictory and make it structured, clear and usable for the people who actually have to live in it. Thirty years later, that is still the job. The medium changed. The discipline did not.I now run two businesses.Goldspink & Co. is my creative direction and AI advisory practice. I work with a small number of family offices, professional services firms and commercial property teams to find where AI creates real commercial value, particularly in the problems they have stopped seeing as solvable, and then I help them build it. Fast, affordably, and without the £60k-£100k agency quotes that were standard twelve months ago. The technology caught up. The only remaining question is knowing where to point it.Estrix Group is where I build. Working with my co-founder Steven Holmes, we are building AI-powered platforms across PropTech, RiskTech and EduTech. The approach is always the same: understand how the business actually operates, then design a platform around that. Not around how a software company thinks it should operate. We replaced seventy-two spreadsheets for one commercial property client. We built a multi-agent risk intelligence platform that reached the same conclusions as a human analyst team, but in under three minutes instead of four days. We built an English language platform that gives learners a live AI conversation partner instead of another grammar worksheet.The pattern is the same every time. Find the spreadsheet. Understand why it exists. Build what it should actually be. A living system, not a frozen product.What is different about working with me is the combination of backgrounds. Architecture. Creative direction. Brand strategy. Thirty years of translating messy briefs into structured outcomes. That skill set, pointed at AI, turns out to be considerably more useful than I expected. I think in systems. I explain in plain English. I design for the person who does not have time to figure things out.I am not interested in selling anyone a demo.
