The Leader’s Advisory Council on Tariff Response and Economic Security will lead consultations with industry, labour, sector-specific experts and elected officials to help inform the Official Opposition’s work in the new provincial parliament. Our goal is to provide recommendations that we can put into action either through cross-Party collaboration or potential legislation. This includes recommending strategic investments to stabilize the economy and re-tool for future jobs, focusing on strategic procurement, research commercialization and IP potential with the goal to expand our export with new trading partners.

ABOUT JAMIE WEST
Born and raised in Sudbury, Jamie has devoted himself to working on issues that affect families in the community, like safety, health care, and opposing the privatization of Hydro One. Jamie has nearly 2 decades of experience in safety and worker\'s rights. Prior to the 2018 election, he was the Worker Safety Representative at Vale and President of the Sudbury & District Labour Council. He was also a Sessional Professor at Laurentian University, teaching Health and Safety to 2nd and 3rd year students. Jamie believes in giving back through volunteerism. He\'s volunteered with the United Way Board for more than a decade. He also sat on various Advisory Committees, including CROSH, OHCOW and the Vale Mental Health Working Group. Jamie has graduated from both Laurentian University and Cambrian College.
