ABOUT JAMIE SWEENEY

Software engineer with 6+ years of professional experience, working on both legacy systems and greenfield projects. Large amount of experience designing, implementing and maintaining.NET web applications hosted on Azure. I have a passion for building scalable and robust solutions and am a strong advocate for continuous improvement. During my time at CCL, I built a solid foundation of knowledge to jumpstart my career in software development. Working within a relatively small development team I was able to take part in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, and be involved in major decisions that shaped the direction of the software platform and the software development team. After working there in a general capacity for a while, I specialised into a role focussing on improving performance, reliability and managing historical technical debt. I continued to build upon my professional experience at Lenz Labs where I led the development of a new web platform. In that role, I had the opportunity to tackle unique technical challenges concerning the development of a new platform, as well as contributing to the company direction and scaling up the development team.Since joining RES I have been working in a small, relatively new team where I am able to have a large impact in direction. There have been many interesting learning opportunities and the chance to work with new technologies, however the project is new enough that I have also been able to apply my existing knowledge and experience.
