Reporting to the Finance Director the role is responsible for the assurance of commercial processes and reporting to control and mitigate contract risk. Specifically:• To ensure the validity and control of the company Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) process to provide accurate revenue recognition, cost accounting and work in progress carrying values across the full AmcoGiffen project portfolio.• To be a trusted business partner to the Commercial Director and Head of Commercial Assurance, managing a team of Finance Business Partners to provide support to Regional Commercial Managers.• To lead and support in the creation and delivery of the company’s Strategic Business Plan.• To drive commercial excellence through leadership in process, ERP and systems project deployment.Main Duties:• Support and challenge Regional Commercial Managers and Directors to ensure the correct application of IFRS 15 Revenue Recognition on construction contracts through monthly Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) meetings.• During CVR meetings ensure that at all levels (individual contract, regional portfolio and company portfolio) the Cost To Complete (CTC) can be fully validated and that it accurately reflects the expected final outcome or out-turn position of the contract.• Contract WIP (comprising of Certificates In Transit, timing WIP, undervalue and overvalue) is assessed by the introduction of PowerBI trend analytics to assess the aging and recoverability of the cash to revenue gap.• Undervalue originating from variations and contract change is evaluated against the contract change register and Managing Quantity Surveyors challenged to ensure proof of entitlement to change and therefore recoverability from clients is available to senior management and the group’s external auditors.• Main point of contact between Finance and Pre-Contract (bidding/work winning) departments.• Develop the commercial scope and delivery of the COINS ERP, in line with business objectives
