Leading the Procurement transformation for Breedon Group with additional responsibility for all aspects of managing the company fleet from March 2025.Breedon is a construction materials business with ~350 locations and ~£1bn supply chain spend across direct, indirect and capital purchases. It has a broad spend profile across raw materials, energy, logistics, FM, Heavy mobile equipment, corporate services, spares, engineering services, land, minerals, estates to name a few. I have been recruited to create a procurement function with clear strategic deliverables for the business. Implementing category management, total cost of ownership strategies that are delivering ~£7m/yr P&L benefits. In addition to the P&L benefits procurement is now responsible for all hedging activity and high value capital project tenders.Key achievements:~ Initial recruitment filled using my professional network~ Central spend dashboard created for all businesses extracted from multiple systems~ Sustainable supply chain governance with supplier risk matrix, pre-qualification & audit~ Commodity hedging strategy and risk management process implemented~ Moved company cars, LCV\'s and 4x4\'s fleet to a lease model with minimum safety standards agreed~ Fleet team reporting to myself from March 2025 ~1200 vehicles~ Centralised capital purchasing of all Heavy Mobile Equipment ~ Contract database and payment processes implemented
