Growing up an expatriate,(originally from the U.K.) making the U.S. the seventh country I have lived in, I have successfully utilized my cross-cultural communication and adaptability skills in managing and developing student-athletes.During my time at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in a diverse range of responsibilities that significantly enhanced my professional skill set. I acquired extensive and valuable experience in several key areas, including player development, where I worked closely with athletes to help them improve their skills and performance on and off the field. This involved not only coaching and mentoring but also understanding the individual needs of each player to foster their growth.I also had opportunities to gain experience in media relations and communications (when called upon for additional support), where I developed skills in crafting press releases, managing social media accounts, and creating post game box scores. This experience taught me the importance of effective communication and public relations in promoting the teams and engaging with fans.I acquired valuable experience in event management through my involvement with the Pennsylvania Sports Business Conference and the NCAA DII Regional Tournaments. While studying at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, I participated in the Pennsylvania Sports Business Conference in 20••••21 I served as the Graduate Intern for the 2022 Pennsylvania Sports Business Conference. In addition, I worked as a Student Liaison for the NCAA DII Atlantic Regional Men\'s Basketball Tournament in both 2019 and 2022, which provided me with insights into the requirements for hosting NCAA events and the advantages of organizing such tournaments.On game days, I was actively involved in operations and logistics, overseeing everything from setup to execution. This included coordinating with various departments, managing volunteers, and ensuring compliance with NCAA regulations. My experience in game scheduling further enhanced my organizational skills, as I worked to create and manage schedules that accommodated the needs of multiple teams while adhering to NCAA requirements.Throughout my academic journey, I balanced these responsibilities while pursuing both my bachelor\'s and master\'s degrees, which taught me valuable time management and prioritization skills. Overall, my comprehensive experience across these various domains has equipped me with a well-rounded skill set that I am eager to apply in my future endeavors in the sports industry!
