I lead translation research and future-forward global competitions to catalyze breakthrough solutions in science and technology that improve human health. I am the Executive Director of XPRIZE Healthspan, Executive Vice President of the Health Domain at XPRIZE Foundation, and Adjunct Professor in Internal Medicine - Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine at Wake Forest University School of Medicine (WFUSM).XPRIZE Healthspan is a competition to change the way we think about and treat human aging. My scientific work is dedicated to Geroscience, which advances the hypothesis that by targeting the basic biology of aging the incidence of multiple age-related diseases can be delayed or prevented. I was the recipient of the Jarrahi Fund in Geroscience Innovation, Vincent Cristofalo Rising Star in Aging Research, and NIA Nathan W Shock Awardee, and serve as associate editor for field journals such as Journals of Gerontology Biological Sciences, Experimental Gerontology, Geroscience, among others.
