   Develop and implement strategic communication initiatives and coordinate media relations activities for the Youngstown State University Athletics Department. • Serve as the primary media contact for the men’s basketball, women’s soccer and softball teams and the secondary media contact for football. • Named men’s basketball media relations director after 11 years as the women’s basketball sports information director. • Maximize publicity for Youngstown State athletics through building positive relationships with traditional media outlets and through the use of social media, such as Facebook, Twitter and Youtube. • Manage Twitter accounts for @YSUMensHoops and @YSUsoftball, and assist in the management of @YSUsports. • Advise student-athletes on social media usage and department policies. • Produce content and serve as an editor for YSUsports.com. • Promoted more than 50 student-athletes garnering all-conference honors, five players of the year, five coach-of-the-year award winners, three Academic All-Americans and 16 Academic All-District honorees. • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the sports information office. • Served on search committees for new Head Baseball Coach and Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance. • Coordinate press box and press row operations, press conferences, and coach and player interviews. • Serve on the YSU Athletics Hall of Fame Committee. • Write and disseminate press releases, compile statistics and maintain records. • Served as the media coordinator of the 2004 Horizon League Volleyball Championships and 2006 Horizon League Softball Championships, both hosted by Youngstown State University. • Primary women’s basketball contact for the 1998 and NCAA Tournaments and primary softball contact for 2006 NCAA Regional Tournament. • Assisted in media relations for the 1997 Division I FCS National Champions, the Division I FCS National Runners-Up and 2006 Division I FCS Semifinalists.
