ABOUT JAMIE EFFROS
I’ve been making my own worlds for as long as I can remember, and discovering film was discovering how to share them. Growing up outside Washington DC, with parents in communications and conflict resolution, I learned the power that narrative has to show common ground, make pathways to empathy, and explore what’s possible. As a writer, actor, and producer, those are the kinds of stories I make: stories that reveal our sameness and vulnerability and embrace our interconnected reality. I make grounded, character-driven HETV and Feature Films, spanning from comedy to sci-fi to conventional drama. 20 years of experience in theater and voice-over has honed my sense of connection between script and audience, and given me a wealth of insight on character and world-building, as well as commercial viability and appeal.
