About Jamie Efaw
After a long and fulfilling career as an Army Ranger and Psychological Operations Officer. I am blessed to be doing something totally different from my military life as a part of the leadership team in the Development Department at Young Life. We raise money to invest in the next generation. Young Life is so much more than just an invitation for adventure and belonging. We invite kids to follow Christ, care for them regardless of their response, and change lives in the process.I also have the opportunity to continue serving the military through The COMMIT Foundation as I coach members of all branches of the military services who are beginning their journey and transition to the civilian world. Some of my coaching passions are personal and professional goal achievement, enhancing performance, finding purpose, pursuing meaning and happiness, identifying and overcoming obstacles.I have taught psychology at the collegiate level at both West Point and UNC-Chapel Hill.I love the outdoors and the ability to challenge myself through road biking, hiking, walking, skiing and climbing Colorado’s 14ers.I believe that undistracted walking in nature is probably the most underrated, beneficial activity that is available to almost everyone.Since I am finally able to live in one location for more than three years, I have taken up vegetable gardening and starting in 2020, a novice beekeeper.I recently (2023) published my first, short paperback book, “Lessons from the Incline” https://lnkd.in/gwma-ptFI am available for Executive Coaching.
