Carrying out “Kaizen” events, focused on poor performing process areas.Monitoring labour hours to evaluate actual bookings versus target bookings to ensure the business remains cost competitive within the current market. Setting productivity targets, ensuring all key stakeholders contribute to targets in line with their annual set priorities and objectives. Creating productivity projects to engage and motivate staff to contribute to the overall corporate objective of reducing costs and improving business targets.Interacting with a multi professional workforce.

I have over 20 years’ experience in leadership and management and am a certified black belt in Six Sigma lean manufacturing. For the last 5 years I have been the effective Plant Leader for the Component Repair Wales facility at GE Aviation, Wales. I am a supportive and approachable leader, recognising the talent in my team and supporting and encouraging their development. I am flexible in working and consider myself to be a good problem solver who takes professional pride in my work. I apply meticulous attention to detail, offering a collaborative approach to teamwork and a disciplined work ethic to ensure high quality and standards. I am happy to use my own initiative but also take instruction well, whilst ensuring all health and safety requirements are met, working at a high standard to ensure work is completed to a professional level.
