As the Director of the newly created Workforce Strategy and Development (WS & D) team at TVA, I am passionate about powering the Tennessee Valley region with an agile workforce built through strong community partnerships. Our WS & D team’s mission is to ensure that our workforce remains adaptable and equipped with the skills, capabilities, and technology needed to safely power TVA’s energy future with a robust pipeline of talent. Towards that mission, I am focused on: • Ensuring intentional impact in our workforce development investments;• Enabling cross-functional enterprise alignment;• Enhancing partnerships, alliances, processes, and tools;• Equipping our current and future workforce with robust skills and capabilities;• Bolstering innovation across TVA; and • Continuously evaluating our progress with an eye on the future of work. The WS & D team is empowered to do this important work for the region as members of the TVA team and the mission of service that TVA has been known for since 1933.My expertise is rooted in deep technical knowledge and awareness, active industry involvement and a strong leadership presence. I am results-driven and action orientated, excelling in strategic planning, organizational leadership, financial budgets, training programs and change management. With more than two decades of dedicated service at TVA, I have accumulated over 12 years of invaluable leadership experience in prior positions such as Director of Learning and Development, Director of Technical Training, Senior Manager Regulatory & Corporate Training and Manager of Power Production Operations Training.
