Currently working as part of a project delivery team, to deliver and maintain a range of fibre optic products such as FTTP, leased lines to business and Dark Fibre. My duties include, but are not limited to;• Overseeing and providing technical expertise and guidance, on complex works such as network diversions or network faults and network construction. Recent demonstrable experience, as technical lead to the team, when providing timely reactive repairs on fibre optic cable and equipment, during network outages.• Supervision and leadership of circa 25 engineers plus relevant third-party contractors, to ensure all NRSWA, RAMS, health & safety policies and CDM regulations are adhered to whilst work is in progress on site.• Survey and design, through on-site visits and utilizing internal GIS software, of both OSP and ISP e.g. Internal cable routing, underground & overhead architecture design, diversity requirements and cabling/splicing requirements.• Full lifecycle management of on-site delivery, overseeing all civils works, cable pulling and fibre terminations as well as being responsible for civils permitting and wayleave requirements.• Ensuring network construction is completed to correct Openreach quality standards, through quality assurance inspections upon completion of work. Currently I am a Openreach accredited lead quality assurance assessor.• Assist project managers by providing technical expertise as well as project development updates and assisting in the programme of works plan to help align key objectives and milestones within the project.• Engaging with appropriate stakeholders to provide updates on project progression, policy changes, gain any relevant accesses and permissions and seek cross-party input and expertise, where required.
