ABOUT JAMIE ANDERSON

I specialise exclusively in employment and discrimination law and have over 20 years experience in this area. I represent many different types of employer, from FTSE 100 companies to SME\'s. A significant proportion of my work involves acting on behalf of public authorities such as NHS Trusts, Local Authorities or other bodies created by statute. My work on behalf of employees is often generated by word of mouth and I accept instructions directly from members of the public. In recent years, I have particularly represented those who have experienced harassment within the workplace. Whilst I appear frequently in Newcastle upon Tyne Employment Tribunal, I appear in other Tribunals throughout the UK, most notably Leeds, Sheffield, Bristol, Glasgow and Edinburgh. I also have significant experience of appearing before the Employment Appeal Tribunal. I am often asked to advise in complex matters such as the application of TUPE or where there doesn\'t seem to be an obvious answer to the problem. A number of my instructions occur outside the Tribunal process where the parties are still in an employment relationship but are thinking about their next step. I have significant experience of providing employment law training. I am also able to provide equality and diversity training to employees on behalf of their employer. I look to offer clients- A practical approach that relates to the specific case, recognising that \'one size does not fit all\'- Experience - Transparency on fees I sit as a fee-paid Employment Judge in the North West region and I am unable to accept instructions to appear in the Employment Tribunal in this region. I am also a Deputy District Judge on the North Eastern Circuit, sitting in the County Court.
