What the Tech?\" is a daily news franchise that covers consumer technology. 21 local tv news stations trust me as a freelance journalist to cover the consumer tech beat in their morning, afternoon, and evening newscasts.I “do stories” every day that look local (not something off the feed). Newsrooms get a story pitch in their morning news meeting and then, same as their other MMJ’s, I research, shoot, wrote, edit, and upload the story to the newsroom. I also re-write the story for station websites including links and Google keywords for SEO. Soup to nuts as people used to say. Everything producers, editors, and the digital team needs from their reporters.The idea is to provide stations an extra reporter to cover something that affects 100% of their viewers and to do it for much less than what it would cost to hire a new full-time reporter.
