ABOUT JAMES WISZNIEWSKI

I am a Biological Sciences student at the University of Exeter with a strong academic record and a genuine passion for applying science to real-world challenges. I achieved the Dean’s Award in my first year after averaging close to 80%, earned strong A level results despite significant personal and family challenges, and achieved ten GCSEs at grade 9. I am motivated driven to improve, and I am now looking to build experience at the intersection of biology, innovation and problem-solving.From 2023–2024, I worked full-time as a paid Nursery Teaching Assistant at King’s House School, where I developed strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills in a structured educational setting. I also gained early exposure to academic research by volunteering on a PhD project at Queen Mary’s University, supporting a study into the placebo effect of sports drinks.Alongside my professional and academic achievements, I have held outreach and mentoring roles in schools, competed in rowing at Henley Royal Regatta, and now pursue weight training with the same discipline and commitment. These experiences have shaped me into a motivated, resilient, and adaptable individual, eager to apply my skills in both academic and professional environments, particularly in roles where science, problem-solving, and people skills intersect.
