Interdisciplinary Lead -- Water Resources Group @Bureau Of Reclamation

View department →

Loveland, CO, US

With the technical foundation of a senior water resources engineer but acting in a leadership role, I work through my group’s technical staff to oversee water acquisition, movement and delivery for the Colorado – Big Thompson and Fryingpan – Arkansas trans-basin projects. We plan and schedule the movement of water to meet supply targets, generate hydropower, and produce recreation and environmental benefits. I lead the group with an eye toward increasing our effectiveness and efficiency through modern processes, exceptional technological expertise, and collaboration with other people and organizations. Toward these ends, I set group priorities; budget for and expend appropriated funds; develop employees; ensure compliance with law, regulations, policy and procedures; encourage improvement and innovation; oversee a hydrologic monitoring program including associated operational and historical data systems; and coordinate or direct staff collaboration with more than 50 other entities.
