About James Carlin

I\'m a video editor and producer, and have worked in Major League Baseball since 2022, with the Boston Red Sox, and now the Seattle Mariners.The bulk of my work for the Seattle Mariners lies in shooting and editing creative content, with an emphasis on curating content for the in-game experience. However, our team covers all video needs across the organization. We had two regional Emmy nominations in 2024, winning one under the \'Branded Short Form\' category, with myself nominated as a Video Editor for both. Both videos are among some of my favorite projects I\'ve been able to play a significant role in bringing to life, here in Seattle.Over the past year, I\'ve helped to revive the organization\'s classic commercials, featuring our star players acting in skits. Producing, shooting, and editing these offered a unique challenge in owning the production process internally, which was a first for our department, after decades of outsourcing production.I\'ve also been fortunate to take the lead on our \'Video Opens,\' which serve as our take the field videos, to kick off each game. I also owned the production and post-production process for our Félix Hernández tribute open.
