As Principal EA, I am involved in many of our business operations. MPMS is currently undergoing a key business transformation programme due to the need to move to a new processor. I was involved in the RFP evaluations, contracting meetings and am now leading the architecture discovery sessions for our platform. I am a regular speaker in our business meetings such as our PI Planning events, where I give an overview of our architecture vision and strategy for the coming PI and beyond to our business unit - I have also given technical platform overviews to the entire global architecture community across Mastercard. As workstream lead for our API delivery, I have a keen focus on API availability/latency/orchestration, trying to ensure we get the right outcomes for our business to meet, or where possible exceed our customer SLAs. However my responsibilities extend wider, such that I am also involved in other areas such as data strategy, infrastructure, cloud migration and many others. I am often the first point of call for our business/product teams when considering a new piece of work, or to help lead investigations into underlying issues, and I help ensure that a resource is assigned where appropriate - overseeing their deliveries if necessary. All MPMS designs are reviewed in weekly design sessions, and I attend the majority of these, ensuring that our designs are in line with our business strategy.
