As the Technical Director and owner of Phoenix Digital Solutions Limited, I help with the day to day running of the company, which includes looking after our existing customers, gaining new customers, establishing relationships with our existing and new suppliers.It is also my responsibility to make sure the service and support for our customers is maintained and any problems are corrected within a suitable time frame.I am also an engineer by trade so I am trained to work on fault finding problems, machine services, upgrades, relocations and installs. I started out as an apprentice Instrumentation Engineer working for a large industrial fiber manufacturer called Courtaulds/Acordis, this gave me great systems and basic engineering skills across the board from using the equipment in the engineers workshop to on-site systems engineering, programming, plant automation including fault finding skills and equipment installation.Software skills: IT Systems; Linux and Windows Operating systems, including point and click and command line inputs. Server administration, HP Blade architecture, Website Skills; PHP, MySQL, HTML, FTP, HTTP(S), MS Exchange Server Management, DNS Management, Arduino, Raspberry Pi and many other software skills like Firewalls, MS Office, Excel, Adobe and Autocad and much more.Hardware skills: Pumps, motors, solenoids, actuators, temperature / pressure / level and flow sensors, plumbing, electrical wiring, HVAC, signal wiring, Networking wiring WAN/LAN, wireless networks, remote systems, security cameras and beam detectors and much more.My skills have enabled me to run my own companies, including Untagged Limited and Phoenix Digital Solutions Limited. I have setup the companies, complete the required legal requirements, including government paperwork, paying taxes, managing customers, staff and stock levels. As I am an engineer, I am not afraid of getting my hands dirty, I help on the tools with any problems, faults, installations, servicing and anything else that is required.I have working knowledge of:High-Speed Digital Print Systems, installations, consultation, hands on servicing and existing systems integrations (old systems with new systems).I have also worked with digital signage where we created software that would unlock a touchscreen only once the system had detected a used has sanitized their hands, preventing contamination.Aroma Marketing and Scent Solutions, providing industrial aroma diffuser machines and scents to trigger emotions or to encourage a sale.In my personal life, using my skills, I have bought (and sold) and renovated my own properties, including house rewiring, fitting a kitchen, bathrooms, decorating, adding security systems, home networks, PoE CCTV and many more home enhancements and home automation.To relax I like to travel, see different and new places, theme parks (I love going to Orlando), relax on the beach, sample different foods and drinks and cultures, visit friends and family, discuss businesses and ideas, enjoy the sun, walks, sports, bike rides and much more.
