Undertaking a review of the end-to-end governance framework for Generative AI and advising on the implementation of a lean governance framework that can support the scaling of AI whilst ensuring that all necessary guardrails are in place and proportional where appropriate.Key Skills / Achievements:• Developed a revised governance and assurance framework for digital and AI delivery across DWP following the review of the existing governance framework, establishing and chairing a Governance Working Group with representation from senior stakeholders to address concerns from the Leadership Team, identifying duplication, removing inefficiencies and ensuring that forums were established with consistent TOR’s to support the 3 lines of defence model• Worked alongside CDO colleagues to ensure that an Algorithmic Register was developed to provide senior leadership with a view of all AI activity across DWP digital and a mechanism for the data to be reviewed by an independent review panel in the satisfaction of FOI requests. In addition, I assisted CDO colleagues in the roll-out of the government mandated Algorithmic Transparency Recording Standard process across DWP, ensuring guidance was clear and accurate to adhere with central government policy• Designed a new Governance Hub in collaboration with the Delivery Community. This was designed to ensure that engagement was at the forefront of delivery planning, discussing project size and complexity to determine their bespoke assurance steps as opposed to a one size fits all methodology • Provided SME guidance to the wider Portfolio Delivery & Assurance team in the creation of a Governance and Assurance Centre of Excellence including a partnership model with the Digital Delivery Practice to ensure all new starters were provided with a walkthrough of the Governance Hub

I regularly review the governance lifecycle, identifying duplication, or unnecessary processes to make the end-to-end journey as lean as possible, but to use a common sense approach to proportionalise the governance based on a defined criteria (time / cost / quality).I have designed PMO functions along with lifecycle, governance controls and templates), stage gate reviews, establishing a partnership with delivery teams to achieve successful outcomes.I am an advanced user of Microsoft Excel and regularly create automated PMO tools to ensure accuracy reporting. Using VBA to create aggregated reports, creation of dynamic dashboards for finance, status, resource plans.
