SMGA is a non profit that specializes in helping our nation\'s wounded warriors recover from their injuries from the Afghanistan and Iraq conflicts. The all volunteer SMGA uses the game of golf as a means of mental and physical rehabilitation for service members from Bethesda Naval and Walter Reed Army medical centers in the Washington, DC area. To date we have helped over 600 wounded warriors. We teach them how to play golf, get them involved in local corporate golf tournaments and provide them golf equipment as part of their transition to either civilian life or a return to military duties.
