ABOUT JAMES P. BADHORN

For your consideration, I am an innovative, Senior Design/Development Engineer and Product Manager with established expertise in the delivery of innovative solutions, leadership of product design teams, prototype and production assembly refinement, strategy assessment, Intellectual Property monitoring, sales support and business development Industry Experience My broad experience with volume and prototype manufacturing has been mainly in automotive, for major OEM\'s and Tier 1 suppliers. This experience includes multiple long term new car or truck system developments plus managing the fabrication of prototypes of components and assemblies. Additionally, I have been involved in a full vehicle in-plant launch effort. Project Management Experience I have lead teams of engineers and serve as a subject matter expert for complex, high profile projects. Project teams were generally about 10 members per group and involved 50 to 80 components or major assemblies. Further, I led a team in the implementation of mid-model year process commonization and product change with no loss of production. I can also gather requirements, manage budget, implement cost saving measures and drive quality production, monitor and control projects while mitigating risks. Engineering Design and Re-design I have been recognized for innovative, analytical problem solving expertise, adept at deploying quality development tools such as DFMA and DFMEA / PFMEA as well as completing control plans for quality launches and optimized product designs that require minimal change before implementation, saving time and money downstream.
