I am a technical manager with responsibility for the Platform and OAM (Operations, Administration and Management) software teams. The Platform team is based in Bristol and has responsibility for the company\'s OS, system-boot and baseband software components, whilst the OAM team are based in Hyderabad and develop the customer facing configuration and administration tools which accompany all Blu Wireless products.I create Jira backlog and operate an Agile process across the teams to deliver on the company\'s commercial strategy. Where necessary, I am technically hands-on and solve a range of technical issues to ensure that releases are made as per and advertised schedule. I act in a customer facing capacity and respond directly to customer requests.

ABOUT JAMES PASCOE
I am software engineer with a strong grasp of hardware and a passion for business. My technical interests focus on the hardware / software interface. In particular, I am interested in how hardware and software can be co-designed to create optimised solutions to complex performance critical problems. I enjoy using a combination of C++17, Python, Git and Jenkins to develop software and Verilog / Formal Methods for hardware design. I have also worked in Java (e.g. my MBA thesis) and would enjoy working in this area more.My business interests center on Finance (particularly markets) and Economics. These areas resonated with me during my MBA at Warwick. Because of this, I completed my thesis with Dr. Chris Doyle in the Department of Economics at Warwick (rated #2 in the UK by the 2016 Complete University Guide). My thesis was awarded a distinction and I was ranked 4th overall out of the 252 students who graduated in my cohort (approximately 450 started the course).In my spare time, I like to study. In particular, I am a fan of all things C++ and am continually fascinated by the language proposals and new features for C++17/20. I am also a member of ACCU and enjoy attending events. In particular, I recently (June 2016) gave a talk to ACCU Bristol on \'Replay\'- see the slides below.
