With 30 years of experience in education, I am passionate about the students in our County. EDUCATION FOR ALL SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY STUDENTSAll students, from preschool through high school, deserve a quality education that will prepare them to be productive citizens in our community. I am dedicated to offering educational opportunities for at-risk youth in San Joaquin County, children with special needs, and students whose needs cannot be met in traditional school environments. I am committed to offering enrichment programs and activities for students who seek more challenging educational experiences. COLLABORATIONI am committed to collaborating and working hand-in-hand with our local schools and school districts. To effectively serve the nearly public school students in San Joaquin County, I will work collaboratively with local school districts, community and business leaders, and public agencies to meet the individual needs of every child in the County. COLLEGE AND CAREER READINESSI believe that educators have a responsibility to prepare all of our students for the transition from high school to college and/or a career. Attending college or pursuing a career should not be mutually exclusive. Students should be able to pursue both paths simultaneously, if that is their goal. I will strive to ensure that Career and Technical Education continues to be a focus in San Joaquin County.
