ABOUT JAMES MCTIGHE

James is an Executive Director at JLL in the Value & Risk Advisory department. He is Head of Lender Services in the UK, Ireland and Nordics. The team comprises specialist sector focused teams that cover key the commercial property markets of office, retail, industrial located in London, our regional offices throughout the UK, Ireland, and our offices in the Nordics. The teams advise a wide range of lender clients including providing specialist advice such as Mortgage Lending Value.James also looks after many of the major lender client relationships both in the UK and across EMEA in his current role at JLL. He is the One JLL lead for Commercial Valuation in the UK and forms part of the executive team running the team across the UK leading a team of circa 100 people in 12 offices. He is a member of the RICS, is a registered valuer and is also a member of HypZert and certified to carry out Mortgage Lending Valuations. He works closely with the RICS and has recently sat on an expert working group which has authored the RICS Professional Standard on bank lending valuations and mortgage lending value and a Practice Information paper on Basel 3.1, prudently conservative valuation criteria and adjustments. He is also a member of the Investment Property Forum (IPF). At JLL, James was previously head of commercial valuation in London and head of the central London valuation team. Prior to this, he was based in the City office of BNP Paribas Real Estate in their City Valuation Team. He is known for having extensive experience in the central London office market especially in the City of London and East London markets and between & 2020 he worked in and focused this dynamic market before taking more broader roles. He qualified as a chartered surveyor in 1997 and has 30 years of valuation experience.
