ABOUT JAMES H. MANGLE
I am a Nuclear Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, and former Senior Nuclear Reactor Operator working for Mesa Associates, Inc. to support a variety of power generation activities. I was a Senior Reactor Operator at the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station. Before that I obtained Senior Reactor Operator Certification (BWR-6, Perry Nuclear Power Plant) and Advanced Boiling Water Reactor Engineering Certification (RETAQS). I earned an M.S. in Nuclear Engineering as well as a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland. I am a Licensed Professional Engineer in the jurisdictions of Maryland, Louisiana, Texas, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Delaware, Arkansas, and Washington, DC.Outside of my career engineering work, I also volunteer at a railroad museum (the Louisiana Steam Train Association) as the Chief Mechanical Officer - Steam and am helping to restore a steam locomotive to operation.
