ABOUT JAMES ROSENTHAL

Hi! My name is James Rosenthal and I am located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I currently work at Scotiabank in the Middle Office space, supporting the Securities-Based Lending (SBL) and Prime Services groups. I did all four years of my undergrad at Western University, where I completed my HBA at the Ivey School of Business. I also finished my studies abroad at IE University in Madrid in my fourth year second semester. I have taken many courses focusing on business and history throughout my academic career, many of which revolved around accounting/bookkeeping, financial statement analysis and projection, economics, organizational and team psychological theories and communications. Concerning work experience, I have worked in various areas within the Global Wholesale Operations space at Scotiabank, focusing on various aspects of the trade lifecycle and team transformations. I was also an office administrator for Halpern Enterprises, working closely with their salespeople and logistics team, and I have been a security guard mobile supervisor across the GTA. I have many different passions, the largest of which is camping and hiking which came from my years in Scouting. I am also a huge history buff (I have taken many history courses over my educational career) and specifically Greek and Latin history. I love to learn new languages, and my goal is to travel the world whether it be for work or pleasure. Finally, I am a die-hard Toronto sports team fan, but my support is by far for the Maple Leafs.
