James Charles Holdsworth is a versatile musician and recording technician. Hailing from Long Beach Island, New Jersey, and later studying at the collegiate level at Western Carolina University, he has a broad range of experiences in multiple venues all across the country working with live sound, recording studios, and live performances of music. After University, he moved to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where he ran live sound reinforcement at various events including a Samsung conference at the world\'s legendary Burj Al Arab, and in Post Production Audio for Television (Sound Design, Mixing, and Editing) and Voice Over at MBC Group. Since then, he has been working with international teams in Asia in the audio localization industry, making sure translated versions of popular media are at the same quality as the original languages. He specializes in Pro Tools, Max/MSP, and Ableton, but works efficiently in Logic, Digital Performer, Reason, Cubase, and many other software based Digital Audio Workstations, with a plugin repertoire including all Izotope, Sonnox Oxford, Native Instruments, Waves, and Fabfilter suites. Performance wise, his instrument list is vast, including multiple forms of percussion, bass guitar, electric guitar, piano, trombone, ukulele, and voice (baritone range). He also works in video with Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects Adobe Premiere.

   As the current Audio Master for QC, I have been providing highly detailed and in depth reports to clients including Crunchyroll, HBO Max, CBS, and Starz Entertainment. It has also been in my purview to ensure internationally dubbed versions of film and series releases sound as polished and well produced as the language that they were originally recorded in. Alongside international teams in Seoul, South Korea, and Manila, Philippines, I have been developing this niche position in the audio localization industry for the Los Angeles team and dubbing studio. Since this role’s inception, and due to a rapidly evolving workflow, I have become a key resource to the integration of the highest quality standards for hit shows and movies needing translation into 36 languages for both Disney Plus and Netflix’s worldwide audiences. Throughout the creation process of this integral new role to the expanding media venue of online streaming platforms, I authored a comprehensive user manual, utilizing detailed documentation derived from my entire experience. From this, I also designed an interactive training program for future onboarding employees. This modular course presents quantifiable assessments for Human Resources, and can be subjectively interpreted for a broader use by management. Robust and accurate Quality Control is essential to the success of multi-lingual releases. By taking professional responsibility for the final product, I advanced this pivotal role to make a distinctive impact on top-tier media viewed around the world.
