ABOUT JAMES HEALEY
A Servant Leader who has served his community and constituents as a former State Represenative, Non-Profit Leader and Hospitality Executive with over 30 years of extensive operational leadership experience in Las Vegas. James thrives in high demand environments with a laser focus on creating and executing the ultimate guest/team member experience. He is a dynamic communicator with a passion and determination to lead with the heart, while achieving maximum profitability and growth. James is firm believer that hospitalities success is truly based on a modern day version of the Service Profit Chain model. James has spent his entire career, since he was 15 years old working in the hospitality industry when he open a new Marriott hotel in his hometown, as a dishwasher. He spent his years in school moving his way up learning all the different positions. He is very grateful that he can always look back and know what it felt like to be in the shoes of his team members and it never allows him to forget to thank and appreciate the hard work of every member of his teams. Through his hard work and determination, James worked his way up the ranks and developed his leadership skills. He is grateful for the opportunity to have be mentored by some incredible leaders throughout his career, and he feels a passion to do the same, pay it forward. James is a proud original member of the Lion’s Roar Toastmasters where he spent several years honing his public speaking and communication skills. Thought his career he has had the distinct honor to be recognized several times by his leadership for his dedication and loyalty. He was awarded MGM Resorts Employee Volunteer of the Year Award and he was the very first recipient of the J Terrance Lanni Service Excellence Award, the companies highest honor. In 2012, James made a run as the first State Represenative in the new District 35, far Southwest part of Las Vegas Valley, and won the Assembly seat. He had the honor to serve and assist his constituents with many needs and pass some critical legislation. Serving on non-profit boards has also been a passion for James. He has served in many leadership roles such as President of The Southern Nevada Association of Pride, Inc and for Community Counseling Center of Southern Nevada and in advisor roles to the Gay and Lesbian Center of Southern Nevada. In 2009, James was awarded the President of the United States Volunteer Award. James is Hospitality to the core.
