About James Shin

Electrical engineer with a focus on extreme-environment electronics and space policy. Research and industry experience in space policy, radiation effects, PCB design, analysis, testing, and integration with extensive leadership experience in both an engineering and non-engineering context. Candidate for an MPhil in Physics at the University of Cambridge under Dr. Louise Hirst as a 2025 Marshall Scholar. Researching ultra-thin, Indium Phosphide photovoltaics for space applications. Previously conducted research on radiation effects on RF microelectronics under Dr. John Cressler at Georgia Tech. Member of the Space Generation Advisory Council under the Space Law & Policy Group. Interested in how electrical innovations shape international frameworks, norms development, and RF Spectrum policy. Industry experience in space policy with the Aerospace Industries Association and experience in space electronics design and integration with Blue Origin and SpaceX. I\'m excited to contribute to the field of electrical engineering, space policy, and further our potential in space!
