Synap is the world\'s leading platform for creating, practicing and distributing educational quizzes, used by students, teachers and professors from all over the world. Synap was an idea my co-founder and I came across whilst looking for a more effective and engaging way to study at university. The original Synap mobile app allowed us and fellow students to create their own quizzes, practice them in short bursts throughout the day, and share them with their friends. The simple but powerful method caught on, achieving downloads in the space of 6 hours. Over time we explored what made Synap so successful and identified a unique opportunity for Synap to evolve into an intelligent personalised learning system, and a community marketplace for creating, collaborating on, and distributing high quality, bite-sized educational content. In October 2015, we successfully raised investment via Crowdcube, which we have used to expand our team, forge new partnerships and to improve our user experience. After a highly successful beta period in May 2016, we are currently preparing for a full public launch, and some very exciting announcements in September. We are currently looking for educational publishers, schools, universities and other partners to work with, and plan to raise a Series A investment round in 12 months time.
