About James Geshwiler
Leader in Distributed Energy Resources using storage, solar and controls for resiliency, a modern interoperable electric power grid, and enablement of the electric vehicle infrastructure. James brings thirty years of energy, financial and entrepreneurial expertise to renewable power development. He currently is the Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Trail Ridge Power, which works with commercial and industrial partners that want portfolio-wide solutions for their energy management and generation needs. Prior to Trail Ridge Power, he was Chief Strategy and Investment Officer & Co-Founder of Catalyze, a community solar developer and independent power producer. Previously, James spent 17 years in venture capital as Managing Director of Converge Venture Partners, a Boston-based seed investment fund, and its predecessor, CommonAngels, an angel group comprised of leaders in the technology community. He has managed four venture capital funds totaling $60M and backed dozens of companies. He previously worked at Cambridge Energy Research Associates and for US Department of Energy, at the latter managing a team of 30 senior scientists and engineers at the US National Laboratories. Prior to that role, James was the Environment, Science & Technology Officer at the US Department of State’s Office of Russian Affairs, handling a wide range of bilateral and multi-lateral programs, including climate change, Montreal Protocol, fisheries, non-proliferation, satellite launches, and the International Space Station Agreement.
