ABOUT JAMES EXARCOPOULOS
10+ years of experience in game writing and narrative design, with 5 shipped titles across and indie, in multiple genres, from concept to release, in new and established IPs. My focus is singular: to make the player walk away changed. Because when everything else fades, stories are all we have-I wanted to make games from the moment I played Lords of the Realm II in 1996. Though I did not know the specific role I wanted to work in, what fascinated me the most weren\'t the graphics or the mechanics, but the stories behind the game that brought it all to life. The names, the unit and weapon descriptions, the voice overs alerting me to an abundance of dairy or the building of a motte and bailey, the compliments and insults shouted back and forth in Ye Olde.In fourth grade, I wrote a short story about a caveman and my teacher had me read it in class. I like to think it was about that time that I knew I wanted to write for games. The same teacher suggested I stop wasting my time playing games.
