Following a successful five years supporting the explosive growth of Amazon\'s Consumer business rising to CFO, I was asked to build a new finance and analytics team to support the Advertising business, Corporate Development and the newly established Global Media and Entertainment division with the long term goal to build a world leading advertising, media and entertainment business for Amazon.Amazon Ads is a significant and growing profit driver for the company with $56BN revenue in 2024, an increase of 20% YoY and 3x growth from $19B in 2020.Key entertainment milestones so far include establishing business governance, KPIs and reporting for the new media and entertainment division, creating a 10 year plan, building new scientifically robust metrics for measuring content and customer value, acquiring and integrating MGM Studios, Wondery and Art19 and launching NFL Thursday Night Football on Prime Video.Role includes finance, economics, data science and business analytics for Amazon\'s worldwide entertainment and advertising businesses: Prime Video, Amazon & MGM Studios, Music, Games, Twitch, Audible, Amazon Ads and corporate business development and M&A activity.
