The Greater Vancouver Food Bank’s mission is to provide healthy food to those in need. Set up as a temporary relief to the hunger crisis in 1983, the need still exists today. Each year the GVFB has over visits and provides healthy food to individuals and families through direct distribution across Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, and the North Shore, and to our 160+ agencies both locally and across BC.
