National medical group of over employees, including physicians, advance practitioners, clinical leaders, business and operational experts that partner with hospitals, health systems and health care facilities to offer women’s and children’s care across more than 24 medical specialties. Serving as Associate General Counsel, Labor & Employment, reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, I serve as the subject matter expert on all labor and employment matters for the organization and affiliated entities. I am tasked with all labor and employment related legal matters including, but not limited to, EEOC, DOL, NLRB and Human Rights Commission matters, employee investigations, performance disciplinary and termination matters, mediations, arbitrations and litigation matters. • Skillful management of labor and employment law matters including counseling, drafting position statements, responding to demand letters and various Agency inquiries. Areas addressed include, but not limited to, Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, NLRA, SOX Compliance and WARN. • Act as lead counsel on joint committee regarding COVID-19 workplace safety, remote work and vaccine mandates. • Work closely with Human Resources and management on issues such as contract interpretation, performance management, and employee relations including drafting and reviewing employment agreements, performance improvement plans and separation agreements. • In partnership with the Vice President of Human Resources serve as primary training facilitator to operation managers, human resources and executive leadership on employment law. • Strategically and in a cost-effective manner, managed and partnered with outside counsel in litigation matters by limiting need for outside counsel participation so as to decrease legal spend.
