ABOUT JAMES LAM
I am SQL Server DBA with 5 year\'s experience from the Autoclub of Southern California. I consider myself a custodian of data within my company and take great pride in my role. The experience has been nothing but one challenge after another and each day is another step taken towards fulfilling my dream in becoming a senior DBA professional.As a Class of 2017 graduate with a Business Science degree in Information Systems from Calstate Long Beach, I am very eager to find out how I can bring out my potential so that I can be an asset to any company within any industry as an IS professional in Database Management Systems.I have taken courses in the CSULB College of Business Administration with a focus on applications programming, project management, and database development. My first introductory course on database modelling and database management systems taught me the concepts of: Relational Database Models Normalization Entity-Relationship Diagram Structured Query Language (SQL)Later I completed my Advanced Database course, which focuses on Oracle\'s back end programming language, PL/SQL, and used it to create a complete DBMS application that simulates a university\'s enrollment system.This passion to work with Database Management systems has led me to become a Database Administrator for the Automobile Club of Southern California. Where I am currently learning all the responsibilities and skills necessary to live up to the team\'s critical mission to provide reliable backup and recovery, robust performance, data security, and high availability.
