After completing a successful international staff career, I set up my own company to provide HSE Consultancy and Interim Management services to the oil, gas and renewable energy industry. Assignments undertaken include - ESP Renewables - Freelance HSE Consultant Provided HSE expertise, advice and support for renewable energy projects in the UK and Europe, including offshore wind, biofuels and carbon capture. Developed HSE policies and management systems, led audits, investigated accidents and facilitated risk assessment workshops - HAZID, HAZOP, SIMOPS, ALARP etc. IHS Towers - Interim Vice President - Group QHSE Gap analysis and improvement of QHSE across 15 countries, in preparation for their stock market IPO. Established a central QHSE department, then developed a set of group QHSE policies, procedures and best practices to meet ISO Standards and World Bank EHS Guidelines across all countries. Kuwait Energy - Interim HSE Director Provided interim leadership, stability and support to the HSE team and the Board, following a fatal accident. Developed an HSE improvement plan and culture change program, then trained, coached and mentored Kuwaiti nationals to step up into HSE leadership roles. AGR Petroleum - HSEQ Management Systems and ISO Certification Consultant Led the integration and alignment of HSEQ across the UK, Norway, Middle East and Australia, following a merger and restructuring. Then developed one global HSEQ management system, to achieve independent ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification for the new company.
