   Assemble and test electrical and electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems, including printed circuit boards. Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, work orders, engineering performance specifications, test procedures for assembling electronics units. Apply knowledge of components, electronic theory, and testing assemblies and subsystems. Review test procedure for accuracy and determine equipment to be used for printed circuit boards, subassemblies, and systems testing. Perform a variety of electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical tests on electronic systems, subassemblies, and parts to ensure units function properly according to specifications, or to determine cause of unit failure, using electronic test instruments. Test functional performance of systems, subassemblies, and parts under specified environmental conditions such as temperature change, vibration, pressure, and humidity, using environmental test chambers, hyperbaric pressure vessels, shaker tables, etc. Connect units to be tested to test equipment, such as signal generator, frequency meter, or spectrum analyzer. Read dials or digital displays that indicate characteristics, such as voltage, frequency, distortion, inductance, and capacitance. Skilled to solder both lead based solders and lead free solders. Assemble, test, and maintain circuitry or electronic components according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronics, using hand and power tools.Replace defective wiring and components, using hand tools and soldering iron. Record defects on tags attached to units and return units to production department for repair. Build prototypes from rough sketches or plans. Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with engineers as necessary to obtain replacement parts. Confer with engineers, technicians, production personnel, and others regarding testing procedures and results and to resolve problems.
